A total of 150 players are destined for the par-72 Kakamega golf course on Saturday for the 5th leg of the prestigious and competitive KCB East Africa Golf Tour 2023.
The first players are set to tee off at 6:30am with the crowded field consisting of Kakamega Golf Club members and guest players from clubs across the country.
The winners in the Saturday clash will join the winning team of golfers from Eldoret, Limuru and Railways to face off in the KCB golf tour’s grand finale scheduled for later in the year.
The Kakamega leg will have two golf clinics for ladies and junior golfers on Sunday with more than 300 contestants reached in the Vetlab, Eldoret, Limuru and Railways legs.
“We are excited to head to Western Kenya for the 5th leg of the KCB East Africa Golf tour, at the Kakamega Golf Club, after successful events at Vetlab, Eldoret, Limuru and Railways Golf Clubs. We look forward to crowning the fourth set of teams who will play at the grand finale, later in the year,” said KCB Group Director Marketing and Communications Rosalind Gichuru.

Kakamega Golf Club Captain James Anzabwa has expressed his excitement at hosting the field of golfers will take part in the 5th leg of KCB East Africa Golf Tour this coming Saturday.
“The course is in great shape, especially after the rains we have received in the last couple of weeks, which should provide an exciting challenge to the players,” said Nazabwa.
The top two teams in this leg will qualify for the grand finale set for November at Karen Country Club and will get a chance to play in the 2024 Magical Kenya Ladies Open Pro-Am event.
