President William Ruto has clapped back at Azimio la Umoja One Kenya coalition leader Raila Odinga over his allegations that former IEBC chairman Wafula Chebulati, Boya Molu and Abdi Guliye visited his home ahead of the announcement of the August presidential election winner.
Ruto was speaking on Monday at the 16th Annual General Meeting and Africa Prosecutors’ Association Conference in Mombasa.
The president noted he had listened to what Raila said and pondered what the IEBC officials were doing at his house on his invitation.

“If it is true, what were these officials doing in your house? At your invitation? Being a candidate…how did you end up inviting officials of an independent body to your house?”
Ruto who was Raila’s major opponent in the last presidential election, also wanted to know why Raila did not table the evidence before the Supreme Court judges during the presidential election petition.
It also begs the question, you had the opportunity to bring up this evidence of alleged bribery before seven judges of the Supreme Court you did not. You have instead chosen to take this big announcement to a political rally,” the president said.

Raila made the claims on Sunday while addressing his supporters, who turned out in their droves at the Jacaranda Grounds in Nairobi.
He claimed the IEBC officials asked him for something he did not disclose and said he had graphic evidence of their presence at his home.
Chebukati revealed that some people tried to bribe him as well as Guliye and Molu. Ask them what they came to ask me when they visited my house. Tell them that I have photos that I can expose them,” Raila claimed.
