Bolt has unveiled a new grocery delivery service as it seeks to tap into the growing demand by consumers for groceries delivered to their doorsteps fast and in a convenient manner.

The launch of Bolt Market is part of the firm’s strategy to expand its market share and entrench itself as a trusted platform for convenient and on-demand grocery delivery.

The Bolt Food app allows customers to make grocery delivery orders between 8:00am and 11:00pm, and also schedule delivery of their essentials and grocery 24 hours in advance.

Bolt Market will operate within a 10km radius from its Bolt Market store in Kilimani with the new service offering free delivery up to 3km and up to 80 per cent discount to its customers.

Bolt Market has been integrated into the Bolt Food app with customers able to access more than 2,000 products in stores, from fresh produce to household essentials and beverages.

“With the launch of Bolt Market grocery delivery in Kenya, we aim to better serve a thriving food and grocery ecosystem that is a foundation for a city people love to live in,” said Bolt Food General Manager Edgar Kitur.

Kitur added: “The store teams have no interruptions and handle products with care, making sure customers get the quality they would choose on their while saving their time.”

To order groceries from Bolt Market, customers can download the Bolt Food app, where they will be able to see the selection of products offered in the store.

Before confirming the order, the app shows the price and estimated delivery time, with the customer expected to enter their bank card details into the app to pay for the order made.
