Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) and Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI) are partnering to expand Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Kenya.
The strategic initiatives under the ambitious collaboration also seek to enhance tax compliance by MSMEs and will be carried out across all the 47 counties in Kenya.
KRA Head of Stakeholder Engagement Andrew Osiany said the key objective of the partnership is to support and educate MSMEs to grow and comply with their tax obligations.
“KRA is also keen to amplify this support framework and engagements to the regional levels so as to reach more MSMEs and enhance tax awareness and compliance,” said Osiany.
On his part, KNCCI Head of Customer Experience and Partnership James Kitavi noted that the supportive and educational approach will go a long way to challenges faced by MSMEs.
