More than 280 golfers from different clubs across Kenya will this Saturday congregate at the Par 73 Ruiru Sports Club in Kiambu County for the legendary tournament on Saturday.

Legendary golfers will face off in the 18-hole course for the top prizes with the morning tee off set for 6:40am with the afternoon batch of golfers teeing off from 10:50am.

The much-anticipated tournament is sponsored by Edlon Group Limited, Corporate Masters, Bransons Kitchen, Grandstart and AfrInsight Consulting among other corporate entities.

“We are delighted to host some of the biggest names in the sport this weekend during the legendary golf day in Ruiru,” said Ruiru Sports Club Captain Jessy Ndegwa.

He added, “Our course is in good shape, and the greens offer an enabling environment for players to compete.”

Among the top players set to feature on Saturday is veteran golfer Tabitha Kiragu, who was crowned the overall winner of the inaugural IPF golf tournament at the same venue last Saturday and long hitter Emmanuel Wachira as well as Mary Wambui and David Kibui.

The contests is part of a series of activities and tournaments which Ruiru Sports Club has been organizing this year at the prestigious course to commemorate its 100th anniversary.
