The culmination of the highly anticipated Safaricom Chapa Dimba season four is just around the corner, with the official draw for the national finals set to take place tomorrow at the Michael Joseph Centre (MJC) in Nairobi's Safaricom headquarters.

Sixteen teams, comprising eight boys' and eight girls' regional champions, will be vying for glory in the national finals.

The draw, conducted by the Football Kenya Federation (FKF), will determine the matchups for the quarter-finals, semi-finals, and ultimately, the finals scheduled for April 14, 2023 at the Mamboleo Stadium in Kisumu.

Representatives from all eight regions - Western, Nyanza, Rift Valley, Eastern, Coast, North Eastern, Nairobi, and Central - will participate in the draw, randomly selecting teams through a transparent ballot-picking process.

The stage is set for a thrilling competition, with regional champions like Ebwali FC (Western) and Brenda Girls (Western), Obunga FC (Nyanza) and Plateau Queens (Nyanza), PASC Langa (Rift Valley) and Wiyeta Girls (Rift Valley) all vying for the coveted national title.

Other contenders include Chuka University Scorpions and Syomunyu Secondary (Eastern), Bandari Youth and Changamwe Ladies (Coast), Wajir All Stars and Wajir Queens (North Eastern), Young Kings and Dagoretti Mixed Girls (Nairobi), and Lysa FC and Barcelona Ladies SC (Central).

Commenting on the forthcoming draw, Chris Amimo, Chairman of FKF, expressed his delight, stating, "We are pleased to be nearing the end of Safaricom Chapa Dimba season four, which has been one of the most successful football tournaments this year."

He emphasized the significance of the event in fostering grassroots talent and providing a platform for young players to showcase their skills on a national stage.

This year's tournament witnessed a remarkable turnout, with a total of 3,353 players participating across the grassroots, county, and intercounty playoffs, culminating in the exciting regional finals.

The national finals promise to be a spectacular showcase of raw talent and unwavering determination, solidifying Safaricom Chapa Dimba's position as a leading platform for nurturing Kenyan football talent.
