Azimio la Umoja One Kenya coalition-allied MCA's rejected an invite by the new Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja for a trip to the coastal city of Mombasa.
The MCA's led by Makongeni MCA Peter Imwatok said they will not be able to go for the trip citing impending judgement on their party leader Raila Odinga's petition currently before the Supreme Court.
Imwatok disclosed that they had instructions from Azimio coalition about the caucus.
"We have clear instructions from our coalition about that Sakaja caucus...we are still in court challenging presidential results and we have not time to discuss issues of assembly Speaker. He can do that with his UDA team," Imwatok said.
Kilimani MCA Moses Ogeto wanted to know the source of funds for the trip Sakaja organised.

He asserted they will not attend the caucus if taxpayers money will be used to foot the bills.
"As Azimio MCAs we will really want to know whether taxpayers money was spent on people who have not been sworn in as MCAs,” Ogeto said.
Mountain View MCA Maurice Ochieng' also weighed in on the matter an asked Sakaja to avoid what he termed as sideshows questioning why he was in a hurry to take them for a trip to the coast as they awaited the Supreme Court decision.
