Kericho based detectives are probing an incident where thugs broke into a priestly residence of Saint Mark's Catholic Church Parish in Litein and stole an unspecified amount of money.
According to the Parish priest Father Moses Lang'at, the incident happened on Tuesday night when the group of thugs shattered a windowpane in the room next to the one in which the priests were fast asleep and gained entry into their house.
The criminals did not stop at the priest's residence, they also broke into the church and vandalised the tabernacle.
Crime Scene Detectives have visited and processed the scene and are hoping to bring the culprits to book.
