The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has appointed Ruth Kulundu to the position of Deputy Commission Secretary (DSC) - Operations.
Kulundu has previously worked as IEBC Regional Elections Coordinator from 2010 to 2017.
Later on, she worked as Siaya County Elections manager.

Kulundu had 12 years of experience in the management of elections.
She holds a Masters of Business Administration in Strategic Management and Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Nairobi, Associate of Chartered Insurance of London (ACII) & Kenya (AIIK), and Associate of Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (Kenya Chapter).
The commission also appointed Michael Ouma as the Director of Information Communication and Technology (ICT).
Ouma holds MBA (UoN), B. Tech. Electrical & Communications Engineering (Moi Uni) & member of Computer Society of Kenya, Kenya Institute of Management & Information Systems Audit & Control Association (ISACA).
He has 10 years of experience in elections technology projects management

Chrispine Otieno Owiye was appointed as the Director of Legal and Public Affairs.
Owiye is an advocate of the High Court with 18 years of post-admission experience and is in good standing. A Commissioner for oaths and a notaries Public.
Owiye formerly served as Litigation Counsel, Court Prosecutor, Senior investigator & legal officer National Police Service Commission of Kenya, Resident, Senior Resident & Principal Magistrate of the Kenya Judiciary, IEBC Manager investigation & prosecution, Secretary IEBC Electoral Code of Conduct Enforcement Committee.
The Commission declared and advertised vacant posts for the positions of the Deputy Commission Secretary (DCS)- Operations, Director Legal and Public Affairs (DLPA) and Director Information Communication and Technology (DICT) for competitive filling.
IEBC conducted interviews for the shortlisted applicants on the 9th and 10th of March 2022 and the appointees emerged as the most qualified and suitable for the positions.
The commission through its chair Wafula Chebukati congratulated the appointees on their appointment.
"The Commission congratulates the three successful applicants on their new appointment," IEBC said.
