The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) has released the maximum retail prices of petroleum products, which will be in force from Monday to March 14, 2022.
In the period under review, the pump prices of Super Petrol, Diesel and Kerosene remain unchanged.
The prices are inclusive of the 8% Value Added Tax (VAT) in line with the provisions of the Finance Act 2018, the Tax Laws (Amendment) Act 2020 and the revised rates for excise duty adjusted for inflation as per Legal Notice No. 194 of 2020.
The average landed cost of imported Super Petrol decreased by 0.86% from US$601.97 per cubic metre in December 2021 to US$596.79 per cubic metre in January 2022; Diesel increased by 7.11% from US$565.92 per cubic metre to US$606.16 per cubic metre while Kerosene decreased by 7.04% from US$574.85 per cubic metre to US$534.38 per cubic metre.
In the latest EPRA review made on Monday, Nairobi residents will buy Super Petrol at Sh129.72 per litre, Diesel at Sh110.60per litre and Kerosene at Sh103.54 per litre.

Fuel pump prices for Super Petrol will remain Sh130.12, Diesel will stand at Sh111.30 and Kerosene will also remain Sh104.26 in Kisumu.
The applicable pump prices for this cycle have been maintained at the same level as in the immediate previous cycle. The Government will utilise the Petroleum Development Levy to cushion consumers from the otherwise high prices.
