The driver of the matatu belonging to 2NK SACCO, who drove into a police station following a disturbance from 14 wayward students from Fred's Grammar Mixed Secondary School, has been sacked.

The driver, John Maina Muthoni took to his Facebook account to announce that the SACCO had dismissed him for reporting the students.

Maina also revealed that he is also being harassed by the students for reporting them to the authorities.

“As a 2NK SACCO driver i am ive lost ajob because of reporting students for using bangi and alcohol in the vehicles, now they are harrasing me,” wrote John

.

Section of Kenyans has condemned the actions taken by 2NK SACCO as they sympathised with Maina, commending, encouraging and wishing him well.

Maina has been lamenting his unfortunate situation but believes God will fight for him. He also vowed to continue doing what he believes is right.

“The defender of the weak that is in heaven will fight for me. I will continue to do good and justice,” he said.

His dismissal has caught the attention of the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) boss George Kinoti and ex-NACADA boss who both sought an audience with him.

The former NACADA boss John Mututho has promised Maina a lucrative job.

Mututho said the SACCO is a splendid company and always recommends it. However, he faulted the SACCO for sacking Maina for doing a noble thing.

“2NK is a good company. However, this time around they have made a goof. They sacked the driver for doing a very noble thing. So 2NK please, we are hiring that driver. We are going to give him a very executive job. Wherever he is, if you have his contacts, tell him to contact me. He’ll be driving VIP because that’s the Kenyan we want,” Mututho said.
