Flamboyant former governor for Nairobi county boss Mike Sonko has defended the 21-year-old student in the middle of an investigation involving millions.

Sonko took to his social media account to defend the girl and shared photos of the couple.

The report emerged of Felesta Nyamathira Njoroge’s account that holds Sh102,654,024, a gift that was sent to her by her Belgian boyfriend Merc De Mesel.

Sonko reiterated what had been said across social media that De Mesel is a bitcoin billionaire and that amount he gifted Felesta.

Sonko said the Sh100 million De Mesel sent his girlfriend was the equivalent of Sh1000 he sends people for church offerings.

“I hear the boyfriend is a bitcoin billionaire so 100million is like that 1000 I send people as church offering,” he wrote.

He asked the Asset Recovery Agency to leave the lady alone because she was just enjoying her sweat and nobody has complained. Sonko challenged them to upgrade to his league and start sending Sh20,000 to their spouses monthly.

“Asset Recovery Agency leave that lass alone as she is enjoying her sweat and no one has complained…you should also rise to his league and start sending Sh20,000 every month to your spouses,” he added.

However, Sonko has since deleted his posts in which he defended the young girl.
