Embattled Football Kenya Federation (FKF) boss Nick Mwendwa has been released on a Sh7 million bond with two sureties or a cash bail of Sh4 million.

This comes after he was arraigned in Nairobi’s Milimani Courts on Monday over graft claims.

The court further barred Mwendwa from accessing the FKF offices, conducting any media interviews in the interim or attending any football activities.

Mwendwa was arrested on Friday afternoon and taken in for questioning at the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) headquarters along Kiambu Road.

His arrest came after Sports CS Amina Mohamed disbanded FKF last week and appointed an interim 15-member committee to run the affairs of football in Kenya following graft and mismanagement allegations.
