Deputy President William Ruto has praised President Uhuru Kenyatta for his unprecedented transformation in the last nine years.
Ruto told the president that his place in the history of Kenya is not only secure but prominent.
"Your Excellency, your place in the history of Kenya, is not only secure but prominent. Your legacy as a transformational leader in Kenya will set the standard for the leaders that will come after you," Ruto said.
Speaking during Mashujaa day celebrations held in Kirinyaga County, Deputy President William Ruto has assured his boss, president Kenyatta that he will build on his legacy by implementing the big agenda that he had already put in place.
"I assure you as your deputy for the last 9 years, I will make sure your legacy and agenda you have set under the big 4 plan together with the bottom-up approach will take this country to greater heights," said DP Ruto.

Ruto says that the legacy President Uhuru will leave at the end of his term in the office will make those leaders who will come after him to be responsible and continue with the projects that he had already initiated.
At the same time, DP has said the country celebrates every single Kenyan who wakes up early in the morning to work, pay their taxes so that the economy of the country can move ahead.
"We celebrate every Kenyan who wakes up early to work, pay their taxes so that Kenya can continue to be a sovereign nation," Ruto said.
Similarly, Ruto has thanked the head of state for taking the national celebrations to the grassroots as a way of bringing people closer to their leaders.
"Your Excellency, I thank you for deciding that national celebrations will not only be held in the counties but also in the counties. Today we have a world-class stadium because of your commitment to development," Ruto noted.
