Media personality Janet Mbugua has finally issued a statement declaring her stance against any form of gender-based violence.

Taking to her Twitter handle, she stressed GBV should not be tolerated no matter who is involved.

"I am saddened by increasing incidents of Gender-Based Violence. Over the last decade, I have joined my voice to efforts to #EndGBV. I condemn all forms of GBV irrespective of who is involved and will continue to speak out against it. We have laws in Kenya and justice must prevail." wrote Mbugua.

Her sentiments come barely a few hours after a video emerged on social media showing her former husband Eddie Ndichu and his twin brother Paul Ndichu allegedly involved in a physical fight with unnamed women.

Controversial activist and blogger Boniface Mwangi also shared a message from one of the women asserting that Eddie and Paul allegedly attacked her and her sister.

“Yesterday my sister and I were attacked by the Ndichu twins for respectfully turning them down. They threatened to shoot us and ruin our lives. My sister was strangled by Paul Ndichu while her boyfriend who had come to her rescue was being strangled by Eddie," shared Boniface on his Twitter account.

Until now, the two brothers Ndichu and Paul are yet to comment on the allegations.
