The Governor for Kirinyaga County Anne Waiguru has hinted that a stronger force is drawing her towards the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party.
Waiguru made the proposition at the Thiba area in the Mwea Constituency where she was addressing members of the public.
She inquired from the crowd if they would re-elect her as their governor and they responded with a resounding yes.
Upon getting the positive response, Waiguru asked her constituents' advice regarding the political outfit she should join to seek her re-election and they responded UDA.
"Nilisema nitafanya vile watu wa Kirinyaga wanasema. Kwa sababu mumesema mutanirudisha, mnataka nikuje na chama gani huku Kirinyaga? Nikuje na chama gain?" she asked.

However, Waiguru did not make any assertions that she would be joining the Deputy President William Ruto-led UDA but hinted the party's strength in the region would inform her decision.
Waiguru is seeking re-election for the Kirinyaga Gubernatorial seat even though a section of the public had paired her up with other presidential aspirants, suggesting that she could be a running mate.
