Former Parliamentary Aspirant for Kamukunji constituency, Ibrahim Ahmed Yusuf "Johnny" is dead.

Johnny died on Friday morning after a short illness at the Coptic Hospital where he was rushed in critical condition.

According to his family, he had been battling a kidney ailment before he got infected with Covid-19 and recovered.

Reports say he collapsed on Friday morning after his condition deteriorated and was rushed to the hospital for emergency medical attention.

He was also the Deputy Secretary-General of the Jamia Mosque, a position he held until his demise.

Johnny as he was popularly known ran for the Kamukunji constituency parliamentary in 2017 on Wiper Party ticket. He was once a member of ODM party.

Johnny will be laid to rest at the Langata Muslim Cemetary on Friday 9 April 2021 according to the Muslim requirements at 14:00 hours.
