Former Citizen TV news anchor and renowned journalist Hussein Mohamed has been appointed State House Spokesperson.

Hussein was appointed as the new State House Spokesperson on Tuesday.

He replaces another former news anchor and journalist Kanze Dena who served in that capacity since June 2018.

Before his appointment as the State House Spokesperson, Hussein was the Head of Communications in Deputy President William Ruto’s presidential campaign.

The journalist quit his job at Royal Media Services on October 4, 2020, after 10 years at the media house.

Hussein has been on the frontline in the race for that position against Blogger Dennis Itumbi, Emmanuel Talam and Wanjohi Githae.
