Police have arrested suspects linked to the Forest Road incident in which a group of boda boda operators following an alleged traffic accident attacked and harassed a female motorist.

The National Police Service, through their social media accounts, confirmed the arrest of suspected perpetrators of the act.

“We have since identified some of the perpetrators and they will be presented before a court of law upon completion of investigations,” NPS tweeted.

A video clip showing a group of boda boda riders accosting the lady went viral online and attracted the attention of the police.

Members of the public who watched the clip took their social media handles and drew the attention of the authorities to the matter.

“Our attention has been drawn to a distasteful video circulating on social media of Boda boda riders attacking a motorist after an alleged road traffic accident,” NPS said.

The lady was grabbed from the car and stripped off her clothes by a rowdy group of boda boda riders.

There have been many complaints about the conduct of boda boda riders across the country.

A section of the public has called for the banning of boda boda over gross misconduct and involvement in criminal activities.
