Pedestrians discovered the body of a woman stashed in a suitcase and carefully placed right outside General Service Unit (GSU) recce squad camp on Monday evening at around 5:30 in Kimbo, Ruiru, Kiambu County.

The concerned pedestrians alerted the police about the presence of the body.

Juja Sub-county Police Commander Dorothy Migarusha confirmed the incident.

The body of the young woman in her twenties was first stashed inside a sack before being put inside the black suitcase.

According to the police report, a nylon rope was tied around the woman’s neck and her hands were also tied behind her back.

The woman’s body also had a deep cut on her left breast and a message written in ink on her chest, both of her thighs and palms.

“Bwana ya mtu ni sumu” which loosely translates into “Someone’s husband is poisonous” was the chilling message left by her would-be killers.

Migarusha said it was likely the woman was killed somewhere else before her body was dumped outside the GSU recce squad camp.

Police are however yet to identify who the lady is.

The deceased’s body was transferred to the Nairobi City Mortuary as police began investigations into her murder.
