Businessman Jimmy Wanjigi was finally arrested on Tuesday afternoon at his Kwacha House office after a 20-hour siege by security officers.
His arrest came despite Wanjigi obtaining a court order barring his arrest and that of his wife, Irene Nzisa Wanjigi.
After his arrest, the businessman was whisked away to Kamukunji Police Station.
A warrant of arrest had been issued against Wanjigi on Tuesday over the alleged fraudulent acquisition of the land where his Kwacha House office was built.
According to the warrant, Wanjigi together with other persons mentioned in the charge sheet conspired to commit a felony between April 9, 2010, and June 5, 2018, namely forgery of a title deed of the said land.
