Capital FM has given assurance to its listeners, clients and all of its stakeholders of streamlined operations and full compliance with the requirements of the Communications Authority of Kenya (CAK).

This comes hours after the authority issued a revocation of licence notice against several radio and TV stations that included Capital FM.

CAK said in its notice that it has initiated cancellation of licence offers to 60 applicants for radio broadcasting services following their failure to comply with licence offer conditions within the licence offer period the authority prescribed under the Kenya Communications Act 1998.

Mary-Anne Kirubi Musangi, Capital FM’s Group manager said they have already settled the matter with CAK after having a meeting with the authority's officials.

Mary-Anne confidently assured all Capital FM’s clients, business partners and listeners, that the station is fully compliant and is forward-looking to solidifying the relationship.

“After meeting with the Communications Authority, we can confidently assure all our business partners, clients and listeners that Capital FM is fully compliant, and we look forward to strengthen this relationship even further. As required by the licensee where we have been dormant, we will be back on air soon as is required,” Mary-Anne said.

Capital FM affirmed that its operations that encompass programming, advertisements and promotions will not be affected.
