When I received the new OPPO Reno11F 5G review device I was very enthusiastic as I couldn’t wait to see what the latest addition to the Reno family would look and feel like.

I received the Palm Green version which has a sleek and versatile look and feel courtesy of OPPO's new Magnetic Particle design even as it boasts a scratch and wear-resistant back.

The Recommended Retail Price of the new device in Kenya is Sh50,000, which is much lower than the price tag on its three predecessors in the premium OPPO Reno Series.

Unboxing

The new smartphone comes in a grey box.

Inside is the OPPO Reno11F 5G device with a plastic screen protector, back casing, a SIM ejector tool, Type-C cable, SUPERVOOC Fast Charger and two booklets but no earphones.

Design

The device’s frame is made of polycarbonate and has a matter finish and round smooth corners giving the new smartphone a sleek solid feel while weighing only 177 grams.

OPPO Reno11F 5G measures 161.6 x 74.7 x 7.54 mm with OPPO double-reinforcing its display’s Panda Glass protection to reduce the chance of breaking when it drops down.

It has a 6.7-inch AMOLED display, a 2,412 x 1080 resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, a 1,100 nits peak brightness, a 240Hz touch sampling rate, and a 93.4 per cent screen-to-body ratio.

A punch hole on the upper part of the screen hosts the selfie camera, with the microphone stationed a on top, with speaker grills, a microphone port and a USB-C port at the bottom.

The SIM tray is located on the left outer frame while the power button and volume button are located on the right, with all the buttons giving a smooth finish and feel on the finger.

The tray can house up to two nano-SIM cards or one nano-SIM card and one microSD card.

At its back, OPPO Reno 11F 5G dons the 64MP Main Camera, an 8MP Ultra-Wide-Angle Camera, a 2MP Macro Camera backed by an LED flash, while its selfie camera packs 32MP.

Camera modes include Photo, Video, Portrait, Pro, Night, Street, Hi-Res, Pano, Time-lapse, Macro, Movie, Slo-Mo, Long Exposure, Dual-View Video, Group Portrait, and Text Scanner.

Reno 11F 5G, which runs on Android 14-based ColorOS 14, also comes with 8GB RAM with an extra 8GB via RAM Expansion and 256GB storage expandable up to 2TB via microSD card.

All in all, OPPO has come up with a feature-packed smartphone and the Reno 11F 5G is quite a marvel to look at and comes packed with quite some magnificent specs to boot.

I cannot wait to fully review all features on this sleek device in the coming weeks with the Generative AI being adopted in all smartphones in the OPPO Reno 11 Series in the market.
