The family of deceased city tycoon and car dealer Ramesh Kumar Gupta has now put his collection of 23 cars up for sale to raise millions of shillings.
The collection of classic and non-classic vehicles is set to be auctioned on November 13 through Veeral Shah and Roma Wadhwa, the appointed administrator of Gupta’s estate.
A brochure enlisting the auction of the 23 luxurious vehicles indicated that the late tycoon’s family targets to raise at least Sh35 million from the sale, according to listed bids.
His car collection includes a Bentley, Porsche, Chevrolet, Mercedes Benz, Ford, Peugeot and Citroen, with the Benz valued at Sh9 million and a Porsche body shell valued at only Sh60,000.
75-year old Ramesh Gupta was the proprietor of the Car Dealers 1969 Limited and was killed in April 2016 when suspected thugs raided his home in Parklands, Nairobi.
