Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) CEO Ezekiel Mutua has refuted claims making rounds online that he has been fired from the board.
Mutua had to set the record straight after Twitter users said he had been removed from KFCB by CS Mucheru.
While dismissing the rumours, Mutua asked Kenyans not to fall prey to the malicious reports saying he was not aware of such and actually there are no vacancies in his position.

“My attention has been drawn to reports on social media to the effect that I have been fired as CEO of KFCB. PLEASE IGNORE such malicious rumours. I am not aware of such developments and there can be no grain of truth in them as there’s no vacancy in the office of the CEO KFCB” Ezekiel Mutua tweeted
On Friday, evening August 5 Makueni Senator Mutula Kilonzo Jnr took to Twitter informing the mass that Mutua was no longer the KFCB boss.
"Ezekiel Mutua unlawfully removed by CS Mucheru as CEO after being lawfully appointed by the Board. Laws are mere suggestions for this administration," Mutula wrote.
However, social media users have harshly bashed Mutua with many hoping that the news of his removal is true.
