Everyone on social media has already come across internet sensation Khabane Lame alias Khaby Lame either in memes or in hilarious videos where he showcases life hacks and hilarious facial expressions.

Khaby is a 21-year-old Senegalese-Italian content creator based in Italy who went viral in early 2020 with his video in which he proves how some of life’s hacks shared online are easier than they are made to look.

He quickly blew up and has since amassed a huge following on TikTok, the platform where he got his huge popularity, and has even been verified.

On TikTok, he has more than 99.9 million followers and 1.5 billion likes making him the second most followed on the platform after overtaking Addison Rae who now has 82.3 million followers.

Currently, the most followed TikTok user is Charli D’Amelio, who boasts of close to 122 million followers, but Khaby is well on the way to surpass him if he continues with his fast-growing popularity.

Khaby Lame begun posting videos on his TikTok page in March 2020 after he lost his job in a factory based in northern Italy during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Actually, his first video was a mix of parody dances where he is seen doing “woah” while soaping his hands followed by others in which he does random meme skits, like pretending to DJ with pieces from a chess set.

Khaby is a football lover and his favorite club is Juventus which is based in Turin, Italy and he previously hinted at considering Cristiano Ronaldo as the best soccer player in the world.

He also loves video games and with time it seems like he will incorporate video game-related things into his life hack videos and might also be considering to stream his own gameplay in future.

He is also bilingual and can communicate fluently in English and Italian, even though never speaks in any of his Tik Tok videos and uses animated gestures to pass his messages across the cultures of the world.

“It’s my face and my facial expressions that make people laugh, it is a global language,” he told a local Italian media house during a past interview even as he idolizes comedians Eddie Murphy and Will Smith.

Khaby has a beautiful girlfriend, Zaira Nucci, whom he proposed to recently and the two lovebirds are set to tie the knot soon, a move that has come as a surprise to many of his ardent followers.

It has also emerged that he is yet to get citizenship in Italy despite living in the country for many years, but he has downplayed his predicament. 

The net worth of the man whose face has become popular with memes remains unclear amid reports that it is around $1.3-2.7 million and boasts of a rate card of Sh5.5 million to Sh9.2 million per post.
