More than 300,000 Safaricom customers use 5G smartphones and can also access 5G network with superfast speeds of up to 2Gbps, with typical speeds of 400Mbps to 700Mbps.

Safaricom says its network now covers more than 99 per cent of Kenya’s population, while its fibre network is connected to more than 450,000 homes and businesses countrywide.
