Xiaomi on Friday launched the Redmi A1+, the new Redmi entry-level smartphone that it says is aimed at providing high quality user experience to its Kenyan consumers.
Xiaomi says the smartphone, which is retailing at Sh10,499, gives the consumer a better mobile experience at a beatable price.
“Xiaomi continuously pursues innovations, high-quality user experience and operational efficiency. The company relentlessly builds amazing products with honest prices to let everyone in the world enjoy a better life through innovative technology hence the launch of Redmi A1+ costing USD 100,” said Xiaomi’s Country Manager, Bill Zang.
Redmi A1+ will be available in Kenya in 2GB+32GB storage configuration at Sh10,499 and will be available from October 7 at Xiaomi Stores, Jumia and partner stores countrywide.
It boasts of a 6.52’’ HD+ large display at 1600x720 resolution offering an immersive feel for videos or gaming and offers Dark theme and Night Light mode for extended viewing.

Redmi A1+ also comes equipped with an 8MP main camera paired with an auxiliary lens to enable portrait shots, and a 5MP front camera.
Both rear and front cameras are loaded with versatile modes including portrait, short video and time-lapse, which offer users diverse shooting options.
Redmi A1+ also comes with a large 5,000mAh battery and 10W charging and is powered by MediaTek Helio A22 for enhanced app performance, high-resolution display and power use.
The smart device has a notable design which borrows the family design from Redmi Note Series and also supports expandable storage up to 1TB
Redmi A1+ comes in Black and Light Blue, with a stylish flat-frame design accentuated by a clean, minimalistic curved back, and a leather-like texture resisting fingerprint smudges and marks.
It further comes equipped with advanced and responsive rear fingerprint sensor for quick unlocking of the device.
