The second round of the 2025 Limuru Junior Open teed off on Tuesday morning at Limuru Country Club, narrowing the field in one of Kenya’s most competitive junior golf events.
Following a thrilling opening day that showcased exceptional young talent from across the country, only the top 33 players will advance to the decisive final round scheduled for Wednesday.
At the top of the girls’ leaderboard is Vet Lab Sports Club’s Belinda Wanjiru, who emerged from Day 1 with a steady Level Par (72) after carding 3 birdies and 12 pars.
Close on her heels are two contenders locked on +2 (74) — fellow Vet Lab golfer Chanelle Wangari, whose aggressive approach is quickly gaining attention, and Bianca Ngecu from Muthaiga, whose consistency saw her climb the rankings.
In the boys’ category, Golf Park’s Kevin Anyien currently leads with +2, maintaining a slender margin over Muthaiga’s Ronan Patel and Sigona’s Yuvraj Rajput, both just a stroke behind at +3.
