Lady golfer Christine Riaroh (Handicap 31) of Nyanza Golf Club led her team to return a combined 109 points to win the Kisumu leg of the KCB East Africa Golf Tour on Saturday.

Riaroh together with David Sate, Joyce Osike and Tabitha Ojwang beat their closest rivals Prashant Thakrar, Jiten Pabari, Amrish Patel and Ramesh Karia who carded 104 points.

The two winning teams at the sixth leg of the contest at the Par 72 Nyanza Golf Club will represent the club at the grand finale of the golf tour at Karen Country Club in November.

During the clash of more than 100 golfers, Kisumu-based Francis Odhiambo played off handicap 28 to card 41 stableford points to be declared the overall winner of the tour.

“It was not easy considering the incredible pool of talent on the course today. Our collective efforts, hard work, and precision granted us this victory. We cannot wait to represent Kisumu in the grand finale, our aim is to go to Karen and enjoy ourselves at one of the best golf courses in the country,” said Riaroh.

Prashant Thakrar (Handicap 19) carded 40 stableford points to be crowned overall men winner as Rosemary Obara (handicap 18) carded 39 points to bag the lady winner award.

The next leg of the KCB East Africa Golf Tour will resume on July 7 at the Thika Sports Club.
