The Cabinet Secretary for Sports, Culture and Heritage Amina Mohammed has flagged off the East African Safari Classic Rally.
Amina flagged the event off at the Kenya Wildlife Service Training Institute in Naivasha.
Amina said the competition represents Kenya’s cultural richness, enthusiasm and the inimitable power the sport has enhanced unity in the country.

“The competition speaks of Kenya’s cultural richness, our unparalleled enthusiasm, and the inimitable power that sports as a sector, has in enhancing national cohesion and unity,” Amina said.
This is the 10th edition of the rally that was introduced in 2003.
The event which will feature in 11 counties promises to stir up equal excitement across all those counties and will run from Thursday to February 18, 2022.
The event dubbed ‘Twende Classic’ is expected to showcase some of the most priced classic cars and skills from experienced drivers.
