The 2021 International Defensive Pistol Association (IDPA) Africa Championship is coming to Kenya for the first time.
This is going to be the first time the IDPA Africa Championship is going to be held outside South Africa.
The competitions will be held at the National Gun Owners Association (NGAO)–Kenya shooting range in Kirigiti, Kiambu county from September 2, 2021, to September 5, 2021.
Pre-match shooting by the safety officers will take place on September 2, 2021, and September 3, 2021, while competitors will take part on September 3, 2021, and September 5, 2021.

The competitions will comprise 14 stages and about 250 rounds will be required.
Online match registration has been open since May 13, 2021, and officially ended on August 1, 2021.
The Kenyan team has put in great effort and has been training to prepare for the 2021 IDPA Africa Championship.
The Kenyan team comprises six lady shooters who were on training on August 7, 2021, at the NGAO shooting range.
The top six lady shooters who were in for the training include sharpshooter Belinda Akoth (Recce GSU), sharpshooter Elizabeth Cherono Onyango (civilian), Irene Nduna (KDF), Agatha Muchiri also from (KDF), Agnes Muchiri (DCI) and Brenda Ojiambo (KDF).
