3 days of mourning declared in Argentina for Diego Maradona

Argentina President Alberto Fernandez has declared three days of national mourning following the news of the death of Diego Maradona. 

Maradona died on Wednesday following a cardiac arrest.

Among those who have mourned the global football icon is Brazilian legend Pelé, who was his close friend.

“I have lost a dear friend, and the world has lost a legend. There is much more to say, but for now may God give his family strength. One day, I hope, we will play ball together in the sky,” Pelé said.
