Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Director of Communications Philip Etale has tested positive for Covid-19, only days after his party boss Raila Odinga also contracted the virus.
Etale made the announcement on Twitter on Friday, saying finding out that he was also infected with the Coronavirus had left him devastated but determined to get healed.
“POSITIVE...Although devastated; I remain strong, determined and in high spirits.
By His stripes, I will triumph. I will be healed. Please pray for me dear friends. In God I Trust,” he posted.

Etale added, “Loving God, I pray that you will comfort me in my suffering, lend skill to the hands of my healers, and bless the means used for my cure. Give me such confidence in the power of your grace, that even when I am afraid, I may put my whole trust in you; through Jesus Christ. Amen.”

Colleagues in the party, friends and followers have wished Etale a quick recovery.
This comes as a host of leaders, staff and family members who interacted with Raila after his tour of Coast region volunteered to get tested for the virus, with many testing negative.
Raila was confirmed to have tested positive for Covid-19 on Thursday and was admitted at Nairobi Hospital, with his doctor, Dr David Oluoch Olunya saying he was recovering well.
