In a statement issued on Thursday, the Nairobi City Water and Sewerage Company has announced the interruption of water supply to various parts of the city due to a major leak at the Kabete Water Treatment Works Reservoir.

The leak, located on the Manifold outlet pipeline, necessitates immediate repair works.

Areas along Ng’ong Road, the entirety of Kibera, and Lang’ata Estates.

The Nairobi City Water and Sewerage Company has expressed its commitment to restoring the water supply as promptly as possible.

However, in light of the circumstances, residents and customers in the affected areas are urged to use water sparingly throughout the interruption period.
