Labour and Social Protection CS Florence Bore now claims she vacated Gatanga MP Edward Muriu’s Sh120 million house in Karen after receiving a refund of a deposing she allegedly paid.
Speaking to the media, Bore claimed she had initially paid Muriu a deposit of 10 per cent of the total cost of the house at the lavish Amara Ridge, which Muriu had revealed was Sh120 million.
According to the CS, she found a new house within an hour after vacating the Karen house after the UDA MP’s accused her of occupying the house illegally while they were out of the country.
“He talked to me, he gave me the refund of 10 per cent deposit and I moved out,” Bore said.
Bore also sought to explain why she was forced to move out of the posh home at night.

“And there was a question that I moved out at night, it’s because during the day I was working. Actually, I worked on that day until 9pm.
“So, when I came home, I saw that he had already released the deposit into my account. I searched for a house and within an hour I had a new home. Very new….it was a blessing in disguise!”
The embattled CS insisted that she has signed her part of a sales agreement to purchase Muriu’s Amara Ridge house but the MP had not signed his part leading to the public tussle.
“I had signed on my part. Maybe on his side he had not done it. And it was not something big, we should have discussed it. If he had gotten another buyer I had no issue. And I didn’t use any force.
“Some of these things you finish amicably. It was a willing seller willing buyer. I am happy, my children are happy. I wish him well.”
First-time MP Edward Wakili Muriu had accused Bore of moving into the upmarket Karen house without signing a sales agreement and paying for the house as required by the law.
Bore moved out on Monday night after the Amara Management Company wrote to her demanding documents proving she had signed any agreement towards purchasing the house.
