President William Ruto has executed a complete somersault, leaping into a new decision a mere ten days after he first nominated Faith Njeri Harrison as Principal Secretary for Performance Management and Delivery Services and instead swapped her out for Anne Njoki Wang'ombe, much to the nation's bewilderment.
In a recent statement issued by Chief of Staff & Head of Public Service, Felix Koskei, it has been announced that President William Ruto, on the recommendation of the Public Service Commission, has nominated candidates for the position of Principal Secretary.
These appointments, subject to approval by Parliament, will enhance the senior ranks of the Executive in crucial ministries.
"HIS EXCELLENCY THE PRESIDENT has, on the recommendation of the Public Service Commission, nominated candidates for appointment to the rank of Principal Secretary," the announcement read.
"THE NOMINEES, if granted the seal of approval by Parliament, will join the senior ranks of the Executive in the following portfolios."

Anne Njoki Wang'ombe, has been proposed as the Principal Secretary for the State Department for Performance Management & Delivery Services within the Office of the Prime Cabinet Secretary.
With a career spanning three decades, Wang'ombe brings extensive experience as a human resource practitioner and educationist.
Currently serving as the Manager of the Kenya Revenue Authority Staff Pension Scheme (KRASPS), a position she has held since 2018, Wang'ombe has previously served as the lead Human Resources Consultant for Mannion Daniels Africa Limited and as the Assistant Director of Human Resources & Administration at the Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI).
She holds a Master's Degree in Education Administration & Planning from the University of Nairobi.
Another nominee is Salome Wairimu Muhia-Beacco, who has been nominated as the Principal Secretary for the State Department for Correctional Services under the Ministry of Interior & National Administration.
Muhia-Beacco is an accomplished Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, with an impressive twenty-six years of experience.
Throughout her career, she has held various management roles in esteemed corporations such as Bamburi Cement Company Limited, AIG Insurance Co. Ltd, Phoenix of East Africa Insurance Company Limited, and ICEA Insurance.
She is also a holder of a Master of Laws Degree (LL.M) in Leadership and Governance from the University of Nairobi.
These nominations have been transmitted to the National Assembly for consideration by Parliament, under the legal requirements outlined in the country's law.
"HIS EXCELLENCY THE PRESIDENT has transmitted the nominations to the National Assembly for consideration by Parliament, in fulfilment of the legal requirements set out under our supreme law," the statement read.
Once approved, these distinguished individuals will assume critical roles within the government, contributing to the efficient functioning of their respective departments.
Conspicuously missing from Ruto's latest list of nominees is Njeri's name, leaving the big question on every Kenyan's face asking what transpired within the 10 days of the initial announcement.
Perhaps, Ruto's decision to drop Njeri stems from the questionable past that saw her have run-ins with authorities on several occasions.
As the nominations await parliamentary approval, the public eagerly anticipates the contributions these individuals will make to their respective portfolios.
