Kenyan rally driver Maxine Wahome has been released from Langata Women's Prison in Nairobi on a Sh2 million bond as she awaits trial on her murder case.
Justice Lilian Mutende ordered Maxine’s released on bond two weeks pleading not guilty to murdering her boyfriend Asad Khan, who was also a popular safari rally driver in Kenya.
When releasing her, Justice Mutende directed that she surrenders her passport and not to travel outside the country without seeking the express permission of the court.
The celebrity rally driver was also directed not to interfere in the case during the period she will be out on bond as she awaits the commencement of the murder trial.
The mention date has been set for April 19, 20223.

Maxine denied murdering her late boyfriend Asad when she appeared before Justice Mutende virtually on Wednesday March 15.
She, in a filed affidavit, intimated that Asad injured himself seriously on the balcony door window panes and later took himself to the hospital, where he later passed away.
Asad succumbed to serious injuries sustained in the house he shared with Maxine following a domestic row inside his apartment at Preston Court in the leafy suburb of Kileleshwa.
