A video of Kikuyu Member of Parliament Kimani Ichung’wa publicly warning former president Uhuru Kenyatta that his family’s vast lands would be invaded has resurfaced.
The video emerged after goons armed with machetes and power saws raided Northlands City belonging to the Kenyattas on Monday morning and cut down trees and stole sheep.
In the clip, the close ally of President William Ruto warns Uhuru that his family land across Kenya would be breached if he continues to allegedly fund Raila Odinga’s Azimio protests.
“And those lands you own, we will invade them so that the landless also get land in this country. Don’t think it’s only the common mwananchi who will lose their property, even you, you will pay a price if you continue to instigate violence and bloodshed in this country,” says Ichung’wa in the video clip.

He goes on, “And that is my message to Uhuru Kenyatta, the sponsor, the sole sponsor, the single financier of Azimio and the mercenary that is Raila Odinga.”

A little digging by Swala Nyeti established the clip was recorded when the National Assembly Majority Leader attended an alumni meeting organised by DP Rigathi Gachagua to his former school, Kianyaga Boys High School, in Kirinyaga County on March 18, 2023.
Gachagua, Ichung’wa, Moses Kuria among other UDA leaders have recently been on the offensive accusing the former president of financing Raila to destabilise the country.
They have, however, never made public any evidence to support their claims against Uhuru, who has opted to remain mum on the claims after publicly declaring his support for Raila.
On his part, the former Prime Minister has denied the claims of his nationwide anti-government demonstrations being funded by the former Head of State.
On March 27, 2023 hundreds of youth invaded the Kenyatta family Northlands farm in Ruiru before cutting down trees, stealing livestock and later setting it on fire over unclear reasons.
The expansive property where the dream mixed-use development is being erected is situated along the Eastern Bypass in Kiambu county.
A number of journalists were chased away for recording the attack with a Nation Media Group reporter sustaining serious injuries as police curiously stayed away from the site.
