A High Court in Nairobi has directed that rally driver Maxine Wahome undergoes a mental assessment before she takes plea over the murder charge she faces following the death of her boyfriend Asad Khan.
In that regard, the court also ordered that Maxine be detained until March 15, when she will be respond to the murder charge after the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) approved the charge on Tuesday.
This comes a day after State Prosecutor James Gachoka forwarded the case file to the court after the investigation into the sudden and tragic death of Kenyan rally driver Asad Khan was concluded.
The court was told that DPP Noordin Haji had commended the murder charge against Maxine after reviewing her file and confirmed that he was satisfied with the evidence presented to back the case.

It is believed the rally lovebirds were involved in an ugly quarrel inside Asad’s apartment at Preston Court in Kileleshwa in which he sustained serious injuries and lost a lot of blood.
