One matatu, a 63 seater overturned at that section of the superhighway after colliding with a 33 seater blocking two inbound lanes and causing a massive traffic jam.

Traffic police officers and Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) officials arrived at the scene and a rescue mission to get passengers trapped in the overturned matatu began.
