The Kenyatta University Student who has been missing since Christmas day was discovered dead at her boyfriend's house in Kahawa Wendani, Kiambu County.

Her decomposing body was discovered after neighbours raised concern over the foul smell that came out of her boyfriend’s apartment at Alvo House.

Meanwhile, her boyfriend was not around as he had travelled to his rural home probably for the Christmas celebrations.

The neighbours alerted the authorities who went to the scent on Thursday and broke down the door to access the house and discovered Victoria’s lifeless body in the sitting room.

The police noted there were no visible injuries on Victoria’s body.

Her boyfriend was immediately traced to his rural home before being arrested and taken to the Ruiru Sub-county Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) headquarters for interrogation.

The Public Policy and Administration student named Victoria Muthoni Theuri was last seen on Christmas day when he left her parents’ house in Kahawa Sukari with an understanding that she had gone to visit her sister.

However, her parents became concerned when she failed to return home and could not reach her on her mobile phone.

According to Victoria’s parents, they called her sister to establish Victoria’s whereabouts, and that was when it became clear she did not go to her sister’s place and that is when they reported the matter at Kahawa Sukari Police Station.

Sources have since intimated Victoria had a strained relationship with her parents after getting pregnant to a man they did not know.

Despite getting pregnant, Victoria still operated from her parents’ house as she went to school, but police established she could spend time at her boyfriend’s apartment after school.

Police have launched a probe to establish the circumstances under which Victoria died.
