The Azimio la Umoja One Kenya coalition has called off the planned &-day vigil at the Supreme Court and the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) offices countrywide.
According to an earlier communication, the coalition has planned to hold a Church Service at the AIC Olympic in Kibera before holding a public rally at Kamukunji grounds at 1 pm on Sunday.
That was to be followed by the seven-day vigil at the Supreme Court and all IEBC offices countrywide.
However, the coalition in a statement through Raila’s presidential campaign press secretary Dennis Onsarigo called off the vigils based on the coalition’s counsel and party leadership.

“Upon further consideration, acting on the advice of our counsel and the party leadership, the Azimio La Umoja Coalition members have been advised to stay calm, follow the proceedings of the apex court and not necessarily through the staging of vigils,” the statement read.
“Our supporters are advised to watch the proceedings of the Supreme Court from the comfort of their homes when the court commences hearings.”
The statement, however, encouraged members to join the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya leadership for the church service.
