The Azimio la Umoja One Kenya coalition leader Raila Odinga on Thursday held discussions with the visiting Congressional delegation.


US Senator Chris Coons led the delegation of the US Senate and the House of Representatives in the meeting with Raila.

According to the former premier, they discussed developments in the recently concluded general election and bilateral relations.


Raila shared highlights of the meeting on his social media accounts.

“We held candid discussions on developments around our general election and bilateral relations with the Congressional delegation of the US Senate and House of Representatives,” Raila said.

Raila stressed Azimio's commitment to resolving the electoral disputes through legal means.


“We reiterated our commitment to pursuing legal means to resolve issues around the election results,” Raila said.

The US diplomatic mission was on its third stop of its five African countries' tour.


Before meeting Raila, the delegation had earlier met President-elect William Ruto at his Karen residence and the outgoing President Uhuru Kenyatta at State House, Nairobi.
