The Roots Party presidential candidate George Wajackoyah has trained his political gun against the Kenya Kwanza Alliance Presidential candidate William Ruto’s candidacy in the August general election.

Wajackoyah’s salvo against the DP was prompted by remarks made by the former Nairobi Country Assembly Speaker Beatrice Elachi during an interview on one of the local TV to the effect that both President Uhuru Kenyatta and Ruto need to go home after the August election.

“President Uhuru and DP Ruto should go home so that we take the country back to 2002,” Elachi said.

The controversial presidential aspirant also asked Ruto to retire together with his boss Uhuru.

Wajackoyah criticised Ruto for trying to absolve himself from the current tough economic situation being experienced in the country and blaming the handshake between Uhuru and the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition presidential candidate Raila Odinga.

"I am in agreement with Beatrice, We need to revive our economy this is too much, Ruto trying to cleanse himself by blaming the handshake between Raila Odinga and Uhuru Kenyatta wouldn't make him an angel. Kenyans know who is running the government," Wajackoyah said.

Wajackoyah is one of the four presidential candidates who were cleared by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to run for the presidency in the August election.

Opinion polls have placed him in the third position after Raila and Ruto.

He is popular for his open crusade about the legalisation of marijuana for medicinal and trade purposes.
