Four police officers have been charged in court with the murder of a man who was believed to be behind the robbery of an ATM in Nairobi back in 2020.
Bashir Ali, Charles Kirimi, Henry Mutai and Joseph Ojode were arraigned in a Nairobi court on Tuesday where they were charged with a count of murder
The four officers were alleged to have jointly murdered one Wycliffe Oduor on March 24, 2020, at the Kayole Junction in Nairobi.
The team led by Owuor was also accused of robbing Sh72 million from a Standard Chartered Bank ATM in Nairobi.
He had been out on a Sh500,000 bond after he was arrested and arraigned in court over the robbery.

The four officers were remanded after pleading not guilty to the charges.
They also applied to be released on bond pending the hearing and determination of their case, arguing that if they are released on bond, they will not skip court.
The case will be mentioned on June 12, 2022, and the matter will be heard on August 17, 2022, and August 18, 2022.
