Kenya Kwanza presidential candidate William Ruto has urged Gatundu South residents not to vote for Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition flag-bearer Raila Odinga in the August election.

Ruto was speaking at Gatundu Stadium in Kiambu County at a political rally that was organised by Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria on Tuesday.

The deputy president said Raila has fallen out of favour with his former allies with the latest exit being Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka.

He alleged Raila has a history of messing up the tenancy of former presidents and claimed to know Raila better than those pushing for Raila’s leadership.

“Raila Odinga is not new to us. He has messed the tenancy of former Presidents, among them Daniel Moi, the late Mwai Kibaki and President Uhuru Kenyatta,” Ruto said.

“Those fronting him and bulldozing him to Kenyans should know that he is not new to us.”

Ruto expressed his optimism in Kenya Kwanza Alliance, winning the August election despite Raila’s choice of Martha Karua as his running mate and the threat of poses to his dominance.
