Nairobi Metropolitan Services (NMS) announced on Tuesday that the Green Park Bus Terminal will begin operation on Friday next week.

The Green Park Terminal is part of decongestion strategies by the NMS under the Nairobi Integrated Urban Development Master Plan (NIUPLAN). 


"PUBLIC NOTICE: Nairobi Metropolitan Services wishes to inform Public Service Vehicle (PSVs) operators and the general public that the Green Park Bus Terminal will commence operations in phase," the announcement read.

NMS also provided a two-phase schedule in which the bus terminal will begin operations.


The first phase is scheduled to start on May 24, 2022, and all PSVs plying Ngong' road and Argwings Kodhek road will pick up and drop passengers at the Green Park Bus Terminal.

According to NMS, the second phase will begin on May 27, 2022, and all PSVs plying Lang'ata road will pick up and drop passengers at the Green Park Bus Terminal.


The operationalization of the terminal comes after NMS conducted three test runs; the first one on April 27, 2021, the second one on 18 June 2021, and the final one on May 28, 2021.
