A 16-year-old girl is in custody following an unfortunate incident in which she stabbed another girl of her age to death in a row over a 2GB memory card.
The gut-wrenching incident took place outside Sweet Wines and Spirits, next to the West Inn in the Mulot Sunset area, Bomet County.
The suspect is said to have stabbed the deceased on the left side of her chest, killing her almost instantly.
Efforts to rush the deceased to the hospital bore no fruits after doctors at Longisa District Hospital declared her dead on arrival.

Police are yet to establish if the girls were school-going children and the nature of business they were conducting in the age-restricted areas.
The police have also widened their investigation into the incident to establish if any adults accompanied the two minors to the liquor shops.
The police would also like to establish if the teenage girls were intoxicated before the argument ensued and who was responsible for that.
