Trouble is brewing in the Kenya Kwanza Alliance, following fresh wrangles among members over elective seats in the formation ahead of the August elections.
This comes after Kenya Kwanza affiliate party Amani National Congress (ANC) party led by Musalia Mudavadi decided it will field candidates against Deputy President William Ruto-led United Democratic Alliance (UDA).
ANC called out UDA for proposing the six-piece voting pattern saying it discourages the spirit of working together.

The party’s Secretary-General Simon Gikuru voiced ANC’s concern, saying voters should be encouraged to vote for any candidate as long as they are within the Kenya Kwanza Alliance.
"The six-piece calls by UDA officials should be denounced because they are killing the spirit of working together," Gikuru said.
To demonstrate their stand, Gikuru said UDA prevailed upon Mike Gathogo, who was vying for the Muranga County gubernatorial seat to step down from the race in favour of Farmer Party candidate Irungu Nyakera, who will contest for the seat against Irungu Kang’ata of UDA.
He added the move would increase the chances of Kenya Kwanza winning the Murang’a gubernatorial seat.
The ANC Kibera parliamentary aspirant Malasen Hamida warned UDA against pushing ANC to the wall.
Hamida was speaking against the alleged UDA zoning in Kibera at the ANC party headquarters.
She added that there was no monopoly on decisions.
